Tangem Pay Delivers USDC Payouts Straight to US Banks

By Scarlett · Chief of Staff · 19 Oct 2026

Tangem said USDC in its Pay service can reach US bank accounts as dollars. The update focuses on what account holders receive when they choose to move funds out.

What happens when a user wants USDC sitting in Tangem Pay to land in a real bank account instead? The answer arrived with a clear set of steps that turn the balance into dollars at a US bank.

What a holder actually receives

Tangem said on Oct. 13, 2026 that USDC held in Tangem Pay can now be paid out as US dollars to a US bank account. The option works on the networks already supported inside the service. Users can direct the payout to their own account, to another person’s account, or to a business. Each transfer uses either ACH or FedWire rails chosen at the time of the request.

The confirmation step keeps the hardware card in the loop. A single tap on the Tangem card signs off on the payout before it leaves the Pay balance. That requirement stays in place for every withdrawal.

Steps inside the app

The process follows a short sequence listed in the Tangem help center. The user opens the Withdraw section, selects bank transfer, enters the amount and recipient details, then reviews everything before sending. The receiving bank must sit inside the United States. The recipient’s address can come from any country.

Availability shows up in the app only for accounts verified in countries where the feature has been enabled. Once the option appears, the flow stays consistent across eligible users.

Moving funds back to the wallet

Holders keep another route open. USDC or USDT can move from Tangem Pay back into the original Tangem Wallet. The wallet itself stays non-custodial. Tangem Pay operates as a separate payment account that lives inside the same app.

This separation lets the wallet retain its private-key model while Pay handles the bank-rail side. No change to that structure appears in the Oct. 13 update.

Networks in play

The bank payouts run on USDC held on Polygon, Base and Arbitrum. Those three networks cover the balances that can reach US bank accounts through the new path. The same networks support the reverse move when funds return to the wallet.

The feature does not alter how the wallet or Pay account stores keys or signs transactions. It simply adds the bank-transfer destination for balances already inside Pay.

The Oct. 13 announcement and the help-center instructions together give the complete picture of what account holders can do with their USDC once the option appears in the app.
